Welcome
to Trinity Episcopal Church!
We
are a small town church, with parishioners from throughout Franklin
County – from Smith Mountain Lake to the Mountains surrounding
us to right here in the town of Rocky Mount. This makes for a
somewhat diverse community. Yet, because we are small, the atmosphere
is close-knit and informal. People from all walks of life should
feel welcome at Trinity.
Our service is a fairly traditional one, with music and prayers
from Episcopal sources. We have opportunities for young and old
to enjoy prayer and worship each Sunday. A Children's worship
service is held in the parish each week during the school year
for children of any age. It's a fun filled full-sensory experience.
As
a congregation, we are dedicated to serving those in need that
live in our surrounding community. We do this through a variety
of ways. We began the 'Wood for Warmth' program in the county,
which provides wood free of charge for anyone who needs it to
heat their homes in the winter. We also cook and serve at a soup
kitchen once a month. In the future we hope to provide a parenting
class for the community and a program that will support an at-risk
child and parent in Franklin County.
We also love to come together for fellowship, and are known for
our fantastic dinners and coffee hours! Visitors and Newcomers
are always welcome. Please feel welcome to browse through this
website for more information, and please join us sometime soon!
Our doors are open for you!
